The writer of Hebrews said it quite clearly… “Without faith, it is impossible to please God for he that cometh to Him must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).
In other words, faith is more than a mere nod of affirmation to the existence of God and the veracity of church creeds and biblical doctrine. Faith is more than defending the inerrancy of Holy Scripture and opposing the liberal secularist who would like nothing more than to dispose of the notion of a Divine Being and even deny an exclusive way to salvation through the person of Jesus Christ. Faith is more than being a committed student of His Word or even an enthusiastic worshipper.
Faith is all of that but so much more! Faith is to believe that this God to whom we ascribe our worship, for whom we argue tenaciously, and in whose name we stand against the evil of our day is still active in our lives. “He is a rewarder of them who diligently seek Him.”
He did not only work miraculously yesterday, He not only acts on the behalf of others and in other places, He is acting on my behalf today and if I diligently seek Him, He will show Himself great on my behalf!
QUESTION: How is it possible that we are staunch in defending God’s Word but often doubt that He desires to act on our behalf?

Until this relationship becomes so personal and so intimate it never goes beyond head knowledge and the only way for this to happen is lots of time spent in His presence loving Him and when we allow Him to love us back we become so secure and so sure of this love we can never doubt it. It becomes second nature to trust. Pixie
