The Marks of Jesus

Paul wrote in Galatians 6:17 “From now on let no one cause trouble for me, for I bear on my body the branded marks of Jesus.” He did not demand authority because of his rank, lofty eloquence, position, seniority, or title. He had been marked, branded, and now bore the bruises, the pain, the sorrow, and indeed the suffering of Jesus. He was certain that his witness was validated and authenticated because he had been touched by the nail pierced hands of Christ.

We want an audience. We desire respect and for those we lead, to follow. It will not come because we have a title, boast of position, or pull rank. The question others want to know before they follow us is do we bear the marks of Jesus?

QUESTION: What are the “marks” of Jesus?
