How often we are disappointed or let down by those in whom we have placed our trust or in whose help we had depended. Time and time again the rug is pulled out from underneath us. Though possibly well-intentioned, others, even those we hold in the highest esteem will fail us.
The Psalmist warned us about trusting too deeply in others. “Do not trust in princes, in mortal man in whom there is no salvation.” (Psalm 146:3) He lists 3 reasons why we must not trust our lives to mere mortals. One, they have no power to save. Secondly, they have no sustainable life. “His Spirit departs, He returns to the earth.” (Psalm 146:4) Finally, they have no strength to endure for “in that very day (of their death) his thoughts perish.” (Psalm 146:4)
But, as the Psalmist declares, “Blessed is he whose help is in the God of Jacob.” (Psalm 146.5) God does have power to save for He has made heaven, earth, the sea, and all that is in them (Psalm 146:6). God does have life to sustain for He “exerts justice for the oppressed” and “gives food to the hungry.” (Psalm 142:7) He also has strength to endure for as David exclaims, “The Lord will reign forever.” (Psalm 146:12)
Others may have disappointed you but God will not. He has the power to save, life to sustain, and strength to endure. Place all your trust in Him today and be blessed.
QUESTION: What testimony of His trustworthiness can you share?

I could sit here and tell you of so many ways that God has proven His trustworthiness to me.Things that would amaze you. But if I had to narrow it down to the most amazing to me, it would be because of His never ending love for me. Day after day I let Him down. I disappoint with my actions and my thoughts, and He responds with more blessings. At the end of my day when I'm so exasperated with my failures He blesses me again. I sit in stunned amazement and I wonder why when I fail over and over, does he keep comong back at me with more blessings. What a love this is! He doesn't punish or give me what I deserve, He just keeps blessing me and loving me and drawing me into Him.This love is incomprehensable and deserves all my trust.
