We are so anxious to do, to get done, to hurry and accomplish something that we often rush into spiritual activity and good works before we are equipped or empowered to do so. Jesus told the disciples to “go into all the world” but then he instructed them to “wait until you are clothed with power from on high.”
Would we not accomplish more for Him and see greater results if we learned to wait before we went? The promise for a renewed strength and spiritual empowering is for those who wait on the Lord (Isaiah 40:31).
Question: What have you found helpful in the discipline of waiting on the Lord?

What have I found helpful?
ReplyDeleteJust holding steady (patiently), when I don't see anything happening, at the moment. Trusting God knows best.
