It seems that the more knowledgeable we become, and the greater levels of intellect we attain, the more restless, uncertain and discontent we end up being. Might it be that our insatiable thirst for knowledge has as its focus the wrong thing?
We learn more about ourselves, our gifts, our personalities our tendencies and yet no true fulfillment is found. We learn to think strategically, dissect our problems, and plan for success and still, peace and prosperity seem to elude us. Perhaps we have sought diligently to know the wrong things. Would it not be more enriching to seek to know more intimately the great God who knows when we sit and when we rise, our thoughts, words, and deeds before they ever take shape in us and who made us as Himself; according to His fearful and wonderful pattern?
Perhaps knowing Him better and knowing less about our own identity and problems would bring a greater sense of fulfillment, purpose and destiny.
